Keep Douglasville Beautiful
As part of our commitment to service and community care, Omega Alpha Xi Christian Sorority Inc. proudly partners with the City of Douglasville’s Keep Douglasville Beautiful program — a local initiative dedicated to empowering residents to create a cleaner, greener, more vibrant city for everyone.
Through this program, our sorority has adopted two local roads as part of the Adopt-A-Road effort, showing our dedication to maintaining and enhancing the beauty of our neighborhoods. Our sisters gather throughout the year to pick up litter, raise environmental awareness, and demonstrate that stewardship is not only our duty but our joy.
Our Adopted Roads:
📍 “Sorority Road” — East Strickland Street to Huey Road, starting at Wharton Park
📍 “Alpha Road” — Linnenkohl Avenue to Rose Avenue
In 2023, our chapter collected over 40 pounds of litter along our adopted routes. In 2024, we doubled our impact by collecting over 80 pounds of trash — proving that small, consistent acts of service add up to meaningful change.
Together, we strive to be good stewards of the places we call home, leaving a legacy of care and beauty for generations to come.

🎒 Our Back-to-School Book Bag Giveaway
Each year, Omega Alpha Xi Christian Sorority Inc. proudly hosts our Back-to-School Book Bag Giveaway to bless the children of Douglas County as they prepare for a successful school year.
This annual event is our way of showing love and support to local families by providing free backpacks filled with essential school supplies for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. We believe every child deserves to start the school year confident, equipped, and ready to learn!
To ensure fairness and reach as many families as possible:
✨ All participants must be registered in advance.
✨ Gifts and prizes are given on a first come, first serve basis.
✨ Children must be present to receive their backpack.
✨ A maximum of three students per household may participate.
Through this giveaway, we continue to serve our community with open hearts, helping young learners shine bright as they step into the classroom.
🐣 Our Diamond’s Eggster Hunt
Omega Alpha Xi Christian Sorority Inc. hosts the annual Diamond’s Eggster Hunt, a fun-filled community event that brings families together to celebrate the Easter season with faith, fellowship, and a little friendly competition!
Held every year on the Saturday before Easter Sunday, this event is designed for children and families to enjoy classic Easter egg hunt, engaging games, and exciting prizes — all in the spirit of joy, love, and community.
To make sure everyone has a fair chance:

It’s our special way of creating memories, sharing smiles, and reminding our community that we can shine bright together — just like diamonds!
